Andrea Fleischer (after marrying Holzschuh ; born February 19, 1963 in Saalfeld / Saale ) is a former German long-distance runner .

In 1988 she became GDR champion in cross-country running and marathons . In 1990 she came in 116th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Aix-les-Bains . After a third place in the Paderborn Easter Run and a fifth in the Munich Marathon , she was the last marathon champion in the GDR as the overall winner of the Leipzig Marathon . A second place in the Regensburg marathon and a fifth in the Frankfurt marathon followed in autumn .

In 1992 she finished 59th at the World Half Marathon Championships in South Shields . The following year she was runner-up in Germany in the Hanover Marathon , finishing second overall . At the IAAF World Cup marathon held as part of the San Sebastián Marathon , she came in 26th place, at the Half Marathon World Championships in Brussels on 56th place.

In 1995 she came in 47th at the World Half Marathon Championships in Belfort and won the Trier New Year's Eve run . In 1996 she was eighth in the Route du Vin , in 1997 she won the Griesheim road race .

Andrea Fleischer is a trained secretary. Until 1990 she started for the SC Motor Jena , which became part of the TuS Jena after the reunification . In 1994 she moved to LAC Quelle .
