The Andreafsky River is a right tributary of the Yukon River in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta in western Alaska .

Its headwaters are located southeast of St. Michael in the Nulato Hills . It flows south-southwest and flows into the Yukon River at Pitkas Point west of St. Marys .

The name "Andreafsky" for the river was first mentioned in 1898 by the US Coast and Geodetic Survey and probably goes back to a settlement of the native Alaskans on the river . The Russian name was nuggyklik .

With the entire upper reaches of the Andreafsky and the East Fork within the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge , a total of 426 kilometers of river were designated as a National Wild and Scenic River by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act in 1980 . 319 km of which are within a Wilderness Area , the strictest class of conservation area in the United States.
