Andreas Lichtenberger

Andreas Lichtenberger (born February 4, 1970 in Achern ) is a German actor and musical performer ( baritone ).

biography

Andreas Lichtenberger attended the Bernhard-Strigel-Gymnasium in Memmingen and gained his first stage experience at the school theater there. According to his own statement, this was one of the reasons for his desire to take a stage job. In Stuttgart he studied in the acting department at the University of Music and Performing Arts . Subsequently, as part of his first engagement, he was part of the ensemble in the drama division of the Staatstheater Stuttgart for six years , where he participated in around 30 productions. The first was the baroque opera King Arthur in 1996 , in which he played the speaking role of Aurelius .

In 2003, Andreas Lichtenberger successfully applied for the production of the musical 42nd Street at the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart and left the Stuttgart State Theater. He took on the role of Pat Danning and the main character of Julian Marsh in the understudy. As Sam , he was part of the premiere cast of Mamma Mia! in the neighboring Palladium Theater and in 2007 also in the Essen Colosseum Theater . In the meantime, he played about in Anything Goes at the National Theater in Mannheim the Moon Face Martin . Also on the Berlin production of Mamma Mia! Lichtenberger was involved in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz from 2007, but here in the role of Bill .

In 2008 he moved to Hamburg and played in the Germany premiere of Tarzan in the Neue Flora the Kerchak . After one season, Lichtenberger left the musical for the time being and appeared as Axel Staudach in I've never been to New York at the Raimund Theater in Vienna and as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray at the Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg . In June 2013 he returned to Tarzan as Kerchak and in November moved the production to the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart. There he played until spring 2014. In 2014 and 2015 he played the title role on Shrek's musical tour . From April 2016 a longer engagement with Don Camillo & Peppone followed , first in the theater of St. Gallen and later in the Ronacher in Vienna . From June 2016 to the Dernière on August 28, 2016, Lichtenberger was also seen again with Tarzan in the Apollo Theater. In September 2017 he returned for another year - with an intermittent two-month break - as Kerchak to Tarzan , now at the Oberhausen Metronom Theater . Since Tarzan was discontinued on September 23, 2018 with the Dernière in Oberhausen after almost ten years, Lichtenberger was involved in all three productions in Germany. In Anatevka he played from May 2019 to Tevye in the Opera House of Magdeburg .

In addition to his career on stage as a musical actor and theater actor, Lichtenberger was also active as a film actor. In 1996 he played a role in the television film Tödliche Wende by Nico Hofmann . In 2003 he was part of the movie Shots by Achim Hasenberg and in 2004 of the television film Mein Weg zu dir is love by Thomas Berger . In 2012 he was seen in the episode Dust to Dust of the TV series SOKO Donau . This episode was directed by Erhard Riedlsperger .

Lichtenberger is married and lives in Vienna.
