criticism
The company's boss , Philip Anschutz , has been criticized by the media several times because he financially supports political groups from the evangelical-conservative milieu that discriminate against homosexuals, among other things.
In the summer of 2009, AEG planned a comeback concert series with 50 performances by Michael Jackson . After Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, Jackson's family charged AEG Live that the concert promoter had asked Jackson to do something that the 50-year-old could no longer do. On September 15, 2010, Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, filed a lawsuit against AEG Live. The organizer is accused of neglecting the star's health and safety out of addiction to profit.
