Anthony Lamar Tolliver (born June 1, 1985 in Springfield , Missouri ) is an American basketball player . He was most recently under contract with the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA .

career

Tolliver first played in the USA for the Creighton Bluejays ( Creighton University ) and Iowa Energy in the NBA D-League . He played in three preparation games for the NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers , but received no permanent contract and was removed from the squad.

During the 2007/08 season he moved to the German basketball league for Eisbären Bremerhaven . In 20 BBL games he averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds for the polar bears.

On July 23, 2008, Tolliver got a contract in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs , after he already played for the Spurs Summer League teams at the NBA tournament in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City . After 11 games in which he averaged 3.8 points for the Spurs, he was loaned to the Austin Toros from the D-League. Tolliver then played with the New Orleans Hornets , Portland Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors, among others .

After two years with the Minnesota Timberwolves , where Tolliver fought his way into the fixed rotation, he moved to the Atlanta Hawks in the summer of 2012 . Against the Philadelphia 76ers he achieved a new career record in spring 2013 with 19 points. Before the 2013-14 season , he was hired as a free agent by the Charlotte Hornets . After a year in Charlotte, Tolliver moved again and signed a two-year contract with the Phoenix Suns . In December 2014, Tolliver was given to the Detroit Pistons.

Further changes followed: Tolliver played again in Minnesota and Portland, in January 2020 he landed in an exchange deal with the Sacramento Kings in California .
