Anton Dominikus von Wolkenstein-Trostburg (baptized January 29, 1662 in Trient ; † April 5, 1730 ) was Prince-Bishop of Trento from 1726 to 1730 .

Life

He was born in Trient in 1662 as the son of Gaudenz Fortunat von Wolkenstein-Trostburg and Margarethe von Altemps . The Wolkenstein-Trostburg dynasty , a sideline of the lords of Vilanders, has been attested as ministerial of the prince-bishops of Trento since the 12th century ; the elevation to the baron status took place in 1476, that of the counts in 1630.

The Electoral Palatinate Chamberlain Peter Anton von Wolkenstein-Trostburg , to whom an epitaph at the St. Pankratius Church in Schwetzingen is dedicated, was his brother.
