Economy and Infrastructure

The Archara station of the Trans-Siberian Railway (route kilometer 8080 from Moscow ) has been the border station between the regional railway administrations Transbaikal Railway and Far East Railway since 1959 - the station itself belongs to the latter. In addition to the rail transport companies (locomotive depot) that have arisen in this context, there are food industry companies in Archara that process produce from the surrounding agricultural area.

The newly traced M58 “Amur” trunk road , part of the trans-Siberian road connection, runs a few kilometers northeast of the town.
