Ivanovka ( Russian Ива́новка ) is a village (selo) in the Amur Oblast ( Russia ) with 6617 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is about 35 km as the crow flies east-northeast of the Blagoveschensk Oblast Administrative Center in the western part of the Seja-Bureja plain . It is located on the left bank of the Ivanovka river of the same name , which flows into the Seja about 20 km west of the left .

Iwanowka is the administrative center of the Rajons Ivanovsky and seat of the rural community Ivanovsky selsowet, which includes next to the village Ivanovka nor the villages Kreschtschenowka and Lugowoje.

history

The village was founded in 1864 by resettlers from the Voronezh , Oryol and Astrakhan governors and quickly developed into one of the larger agricultural centers of the area. Since 1926 Ivanovka has been the seat of a district administration.

Ivanovka is located on the regional road R297, which in Belogorsk of the highway M58 Amur Chita  - Khabarovsk branches, and Beryozovka Coming where km north-northwest of the nearest railway station on the of Iwanowka 25 Transsib -Nebenstrecke Belogorsk - is Blagoveshchensk, continues to Blagoveshchensk. In a south-easterly direction there is a road to Tambowka with a connection to the R461, to the north-north-east there is a further connection to the M58 between Wosschajewka and Yekaterinoslawka, which is a good 75 km away .
