Arnold von Unkel
Arnold von Unkel († January 22, 1482 ) was auxiliary bishop in Cologne .
He was a doctor of theology and titular bishop of Cyrene since 1481 , belonged to the Franciscan order and drowned with his chaplain and four other people on the Rhine between Wesseling and Lülsdorf in a shipwreck. Arnold von Unkel was buried in the chapel of the Apostles in the Minorite Church in Cologne . His pontificals were later fished out of the Rhine, only his crosier remained lost in the river.
