Johann Pennarius
Johann Pennarius OFMConv (* 1517 in Neuss ; † September 11, 1563 in Mainz ) was auxiliary bishop in Cologne .
Life
The belonging to the Minorit Pennarius belonged to the Cologne Minorite at, studied at the University of Bologna and a PhD also to Dr. theol. As Provincial of his order, he was appointed titular bishop of Cyrene and auxiliary bishop in Cologne on October 6, 1557 . He died on the way back from an embassy to Emperor Ferdinand I in Mainz at the age of 46 and was buried at the Carthusian monastery in Mainz.
