Johannes of Syberg

Johann (es) von Syberg OC is also Johannes von Sieberg (Siegburg) († September 30 or October 1, 1383 - according to other information: end of September 1366 - in Altenberg ) was auxiliary bishop in Cologne .

Johann (es) came from the Cologne patrician family von Syberg . The monk of the Cistercian Abbey of Altenberg is mentioned in the Archdiocese of Cologne with pontifical functions, i.e. as auxiliary bishop, until 1356. After working as auxiliary bishop in Mainz for a few years , he retired to his Altenberg monastery, in whose church he is also buried. He was titular bishop of Skopje .
