Arp 64 = UGC 9503 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Bear Guardian , which is about 422 million light years away from the Milky Way. At the end of its spiral arms, the galaxy interacts with a smaller object of high surface brightness ( PGC 214322 and SDSS J144522.63 + 192758.3 ) ( Arp 64 ).

Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class spiral galaxies with a small companion of high surface brightness on one arm (Arp catalog) .
