Arp 61 = UGC 3104 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Orion , which is about 432 million light years away from the Milky Way and at the end of one of its spiral arms interacts with a smaller object of high surface brightness ( PGC 213288 ).

Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class spiral galaxies with a small companion of high surface brightness on one arm (Arp catalog) .
