Aschenberg is a district of the East Hessian city of Fulda .

location

Aschenberg is located on a mountain above the Horas district and the associated slopes. On the western slope of the mountain is the Glaszell district , the development of which merges directly into the Aschenberg. The Haubental is characterized by green areas and many trees and is located near Gläserzell.

General

Aschenberg can be characterized by the numerous residential high-rise buildings that are visible from afar. The center of the Aschenberg is the plateau on Aschenbergplatz with trade and service providers. Since the Aschenberg has only been settled since the post-war years, it is a rather new development. In the past few years, many residential areas have emerged in the north of the Aschenberg.

On the Aschenberg there is an allotment garden association in the Am Sonnenhang area . A football club, SV Aschenberg United, has also been founded.

development

The Aschenberg was included in the social urban renewal program. In the course of this, new playgrounds, a football field and a skate park were built.

traffic

The Aschenberg is accessed by various city bus and call and collective taxi lines. The central stop on the plateau is the Aschenbergplatz stop .
