After their withdrawal in 1993/1994, the 90 hectare area was transferred by the federal government to the city of Fulda free of charge. A project company was founded in 2000 and the first construction phase was approved in 2001. The first family moved in in 2002. In several construction phases - there are a total of six residential parks with names such as Bastion , Panorama and Wäldchen and an exhibition center - around 500 properties and 28 hectares of green and leisure space were created. More than 24 million euros were invested.
