Astrid M. Fünderich (born September 27, 1963 in Düsseldorf ) is a German actress .

Life

Fünderich began studying geology in Aachen , but broke it off in 1991 in the middle of his diploma in order to become a member of the ensemble at the free theater K. in Aachen. In 1992 she completed an acting training at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in London and at the Hollywood Acting Workshop in Los Angeles . In 1993 she was on tour with TheaterDämmerung for one year. She made her television debut in 1994 with a mini-appearance on the Emergency Room series .

She initially managed herself, took part in castings and finally got her first continuous role as sister Ina in the Sat.1 children's hospital series Hello, Uncle Doc! Astrid M. Fünderich has been looked after by an acting agency since 1997.

This was followed by a season of Mobbing Girls and finally, 1997-2001, the role of forensic doctor Katharina Winkler in the ARD series Der Fahnder . Since then, she has mostly appeared in television series and films. In the RTL crime series Die Cleveren , she played a leading role as BKA officer Eva Glaser from 1998 to 2002. For this role she was nominated for the German Television Award in 2001.

From 2002 to 2004 she played the deputy headmistress Ruth Hecker in the series Sabine! In the following years engagements at Tatorten , Wilsberg , Sperling , Pastor Braun etc. followed. In 2006 their son was born. Since 2009 she has played the leading role of First Chief Inspector Martina Seiffert, head of SOKO, in the ZDF crime series SOKO Stuttgart . Bavaria TV production produces 25 new episodes annually from February to November.

Astrid M. Fünderich has been married since 1997, her son was born in 2006 and she lives with her family in Stuttgart . Since May 2013 the actress has been a member of the board of trustees of the German Childhood Cancer Care Foundation for the chronically ill child in Villingen-Schwenningen, which advocates the family-oriented rehabilitation of children with cancer, heart and cystic fibrosis. She is also an active supporter of Campact and Avaaz as well as atmosfair , a sustaining member of UNICEF and is socially committed to various local projects in and around Stuttgart.
