Village at the foot of the terminal moraine of the Reuss glacier near Mellingen . First mentioned in 924 as Buoblinchon. By purchasing various rights, the Königsfelden monastery became court lord and most influential landlord in 1348. The Büblikon office comprised the localities of Büblikon, Wohlenschwil, Mägenwil and the Eckwil farm, which were combined in the parish of Wohlenschwil, and belonged to the common rule of free offices from 1415–1798. As legal successor to Königsfelden, the reformed Bernese bailiff (Hofmeister) took over the manorial and lower court duties in the Catholic office of Büblikon after the Reformation . true (until 1798).
