history

The headquarters of the same name was first mentioned in 1174 in Bilzingsleben near Kindelbrück . The family was first mentioned in a document on June 29, 1216 with Rodolphus de Buscingheleiben as a witness to Landgrave Hermann I of Thuringia . According to older literature, a Hermann von Bültzingslöwen is mentioned as early as 1212. The Ohmberg-Harburg original line goes back to this Hermann (I) around 1200, who is said to have worked at the court of Count Elger von Hohnstein . From his employer he receives goods and trees on and near the Ohmberg as a fief.

As representatives of the early aristocratic tribe of the Bültzingslöwen, who settled on the Eichsfeld , are mentioned:

  • Rudolf (II) in the second generation, who was "almost constantly in the vicinity of Landgrave Ludwig IV" (1227)
  • Siegfried (IV) , which with its sons to 1312 Burglehn on the Harburg has served as Amtmann
  • Hermann (V) , who served as a knight and castle man on the Rusteberg in 1315, the first, most solid and most important castle of the electors on the Eichsfeld . He is enfeoffed with farms and land in Rustenfelde , and is connected to half a bailiwick in Berlingerode (1324). He also acted in 1351 as the cathedral capital of Halberstadt
  • Siegfried (VII) worked under Elector Adolf as a Burgmann on the Rusteberg and the Bischofstein and received half of the Bischofstein in 1381 as a pledge for a loan to Archbishop Gerlach , which Elector Daniel redeemed in 1573. In 1384 he was listed as one of the bailiffs at Gleichenstein Castle in Mainz .

Siegfried (VIII) , who in the eighth generation took over the offices and liens from his father and had already been the supreme bailiff of the Eichsfeld from 1377 , seized the Harburg and Worbis Castle with armored tuition and gave both castles to the Mainz monastery. Archbishop Adolf legitimized the seizures almost completely in 1381 and confirmed Siegfried (VIII) the liens in the villages of the Harburg-Worbis office after paying 1662 silver marks. These included extensive lands, meadows, fields and numerous hearths in Bernterode , Breitenworbis , Kirchworbis , Gernrode , Neustadt , Breitenbach and the Heppenrode desert. For kurmainzischen Harburg counted and the below on the territory of the counts of Hohnstein preferred Herdigrode or Herdigrot Heigenrode or, later Haynrode where they several estates acquired. This district also included the areas of Hoscherode, Salmerode, the Hasenburg , the northern part of Hahn and Wenigen Buhla, including the land at Breckenrode, with all woods, corridors, with court and law over neck and hand .

Kurmainz , previously owned jointly with the Thuringian Landgraves, had become sole owners of Harburg and Worbis in 1381. The ore monastery immediately pledged its rights to Harburg and Worbis to the Bültzingslöwen for 1662 Mark Heiligenstädter currency. At that time, Siegfried von Bültzingslöwen, Elector of Mainz bailiff on the Rusteberg near Heiligenstadt , took possession of Harburg and Worbis as well as half of the Bischofstein as pledge . It was not until 1574 that the Mainz archbishopric redeemed the pledge.

The Harburg office included the villages and estates of Bernterode , Breitenworbis , Gernrode , Kirchworbis , Neustadt , Heppenrode , Neiderode , Nottenrode , Wendelenrode , Huchelheim and Herdingerode .

Under the Harburg, and already in hohensteinisch - black burg Haynrode that Bultzingslowen had their three estates Mittelhof, backyard and Oberhof.
