The railway line Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny-Bourg-Saint-Maurice is a standard gauge railway line in the French Savoie department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the state rail infrastructure company SNCF Réseau . The railway crosses the Tarentaise valley , which has one of the highest densities of winter sports stations in the world, and is also known as the "Tarentaise Line".

The line from Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny to Albertville was opened in 1879, the continuation to Moûtiers in 1893. Since 1913, trains have been running to Bourg-Saint-Maurice . There were even plans to build a railway tunnel under the Little St. Bernard Pass in order to connect with Pré-Saint-Didier in the Aosta Valley , but these were never realized.

The route is served by the TER Rhône-Alpes , in winter there are additional TGV connections from Paris . In the run-up to the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , the track was completely electrified and modernized in 1988.
