Gricenfor is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Nain Feto ( municipality of Dili ) and a district of the state capital Dili . Gricenfor was formed in 2004 from the sucos Bairo Central ( Bairo Sentral ), Bairo dos Grilos ( Bairo dos Grilhos ) and Bairo Formosa .

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Gricenfor had an area of ​​0.23 km². Now it is 0.22 km². The Suco is located in the north of the administrative office of Nain Feto. To the north, across Av. 30 de Agosto , the Suco Bidau Lecidere , in the east, beyond the Rua de Bemori , the Suco Acadiru Hun and in the south, beyond the Avenida 20 de Maio , the Suco Santa Cruz . In the southeast, Gricenfor borders on the administrative office of Cristo Rei with its Suco Culu Hun , and in the west, beyond Avenida Xavier do Amaral (formerly Avenida Bispo Medeiros ), on the administrative office of Vera Cruz with its sucos Colmera and Caicoli .

In the Suco there are the three Aldeias Bairo Central , Bairo dos Grilos and Bairo Formosa . The correct spelling in Portuguese is Bairro ( German  city ​​district ), but the official source specifies the spelling Bairo . However, both forms can be found in different maps and sources.

Bairo Formosa forms the west, between Av. Bispo Medeiros and Travessa da Ponte . This is where the Portuguese embassy , a community health center and the Chinese Guandi Temple are located . In the northeast is Bairo dos Grilos, north of Rua de Nu Laran . The Chinese primary school ( Escola Primária Chinesa , Escola Cina ) is located on the corner of Rua de Nu Laran and Travessa da Ponte . At Av. Dr. António da Câmara has the Fundação Oriente its seat. In the southeast is Bairo Central with the Colégio Paulo VI (other source: Colégio Sāo Paulo ). The Rua de Bé Fonte runs through the middle of Sucos, where the Centro de Saúde da Formosa with its historic building and the Xanana Gusmão Sports Center with the Kampo Demokrasia .

Residents

948 inhabitants (2015) live in the Suco, of which 497 are men and 451 women. The population density is 4382.6 inhabitants / km². There are 173 households in the Suco. Over 56% of the population name Tetum Prasa as their mother tongue. Over 9% speak Makasae , over 8% Bunak , over 2% Mambai , minorities Fataluku , Galoli , Idaté , Tetum Terik , Rahesuk , Tokodede , Waimaha , Midiki , Kemak , Makalero , Nanaek or Kairui .

Bairo Formosa is the old Chinese district of Dilis. The Chinese community was already well organized in 1912. There was a club building, a Buddhist temple and a school. Clube Chum Fuk Tong Su , the first Chinese school in the colony, offered classes in Chinese as well as English, zoology and botany. In 1926 a statue of Buddha was brought from China and placed in the Chinese Temple. It still exists today. The Chinese population suffered particularly under the Japanese and Indonesian occupations, but many refugees have returned to Dili since the independence of East Timor.

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Alexandrino Chaves elected Chefe de Suco and in 2009 re-elected.
