history

Until 1815, Benndorf belonged to the Electoral Saxon office of Delitzsch . As a result of the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , the place became part of Prussia and was assigned to the Delitzsch district in the Merseburg administrative district of the province of Saxony in 1816, to which it belonged until 1952. In the course of the district reform in the GDR in 1952, Benndorf was assigned to the newly tailored Delitzsch district in the Leipzig district, which was added to the Delitzsch district in 1994 .

On March 1, 1994, Benndorf was incorporated into Delitzsch with the village of Laue, which had also been independent until then.

Culture and sights

Good

There was already a manor house in 1350, which was called a knight 's seat from 1400 onwards . At that time the property served as council property of the city of Delitzsch. 1880 was the family Schnapperelle, 1899, the family Albert and 1906 the family Böttcher owner of the free Good Benndorf. From 1913 it was owned by the Seyferth family and sold to the Schäfer family in 1938 before they were expropriated in 1945.

The manor on the property was renovated and is now used as a residential building and local meeting center.
