Wyler is located in the district of V Breitenrain-Lorraine and borders the districts of Lorraine , Wylergut , Wankdorffeld , Breitfeld and Breitenrain .
Wyler is the name of the moraine terrace south and northwest of Breitenrain.
The name Wylerfeld was also used for this area and is partly still today (Wylerfeldstrasse). In the western part of Wylerfeldstrasse was the provisional Wylerfeld station , which was the terminus of the railway lines from Olten and Thun from 1857 to 1860 , before the Red Bridge over the Aare enabled the connection to the main station.
In 1954, the Wylerfeld between Wylerringstrasse and Standstrasse, Scheibenstrasse and Stauffacherstrasse was built with several terraced houses.
In 2019, 2264 inhabitants lived there, 1688 of them Swiss and 576 foreigners.
In the north of the railway line there is an industrial area (linen weaving mill, injection molding plant, co-working area "Innovationsdorf Bern"), in the western part the SBB company restaurant and the Sensetalbahn AG. The residential development consists mainly of row houses. It belongs to the so-called northern district, which is represented by the district association Leist Bern Nord.
