history

The place was first mentioned in 1346 as "Berchtoldsdorf". The place name has the personal name of the founder Berthold as a defining word . The place originally consisted of three courtyards.

In 1732 there were 4 properties in Bertelsdorf, according to the descriptions of the Oberamts by Johann Georg Vetter . The landlords were the Spitalamt Hl. Geist of the imperial city of Nuremberg (2 half yards ), and Nuremberg owners ( von Pömer : 1 whole yard; von Tucher : 1 whole yard). Towards the end of the 18th century there were still 4 properties in Bertelsdorf. The high court to the south of Regelsbacher Strasse was exercised by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach and north of Regelsbacher Strasse by the Brandenburg-Ansbach judge’s office Roßtal . The imperial city of Nuremberg held the village and community rule. The manorial division was the same as in 1732.

As part of the municipal edict , Bertelsdorf was assigned to the Regelsbach Tax District , Section I in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Regelsbach formed in 1818 . As early as 1925, Bertelsdorf and Eckershof applied for the reorganization to Stein, but this was rejected by the Regelsbach community. On January 1, 1967, Bertelsdorf was incorporated into Stein.
