history

The place is first mentioned in the Würzburger Lehenbuch from 1303 as "Volkolzdorf". Only from 1504 is the place called "Gutzperg". In both cases, a personal name is the determinant of the place name (Volkolt, Gutz).

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 9 properties in Gutzberg. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach judge's office in Roßtal . The landlords were the Bamberg office of Herzogenaurach (1 courtyard), the imperial city of Nuremberg : Landesalmosenamt (1 courtyard), St. Klara-Klosteramt (1 courtyard), the Teutonic Order Nuremberg (1 courtyard) and Nuremberg owners: von Ebner (1 courtyard, inn ), von Scheurl (1 courtyard), von Tucher (2 half courtyards ). The village and community rulership was exercised alternately by the landlords.

As part of the community edict, Gutzberg was assigned to the Großweismannsdorf tax district in 1808 . In the same year the rural community Gutzberg was founded, to which the villages Loch , Oberbüchlein , Sichersdorf and Unterbüchlein belonged. The community was under administration and jurisdiction of the district court Cadolzburg and in the financial administration of the bursary Cadolzburg (in 1920 the tax office Cadolzburg renamed). 2 properties were subject to voluntary jurisdiction until 1812 and from 1823 to 1835 to the Lohe Patrimonial Court , 2 properties to the Defersdorf Patrimonial Court from 1821 to 1848 . From 1862 Gutzberg was administered by the Fürth district office (renamed the Fürth district in 1938 ). Jurisdiction remained with the Cadolzburg District Court until 1879, from 1880 to March 1, 1931 it was with the Cadolzburg District Court , since then it has been exercised by the Fürth District Court . The financial management was taken over on January 1, 1929 by the Fürth tax office . The municipality had an area of 7,866 km².

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Gutzberg was incorporated into Stein on July 1, 1972.
