Gray dune

The wooded dune near Noer has been a designated nature reserve since 1981 with a size of 47 hectares. It is located on the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast northeast of Noer , Rendsburg-Eckernförde district . The nature reserve is under protection, as all stages of the dune development from the flushing border zone to the forest can be found here in a very small space. The area is part of the European ecological network Natura 2000 . It belongs to the FHH area 1526-391 south coast of the Eckernförde Bay and upstream flat grounds (FFH area). The entire coastal strip and the upstream water zone of the nature reserve belong to the NATURA 2000 area "1525-491 Eckernförde bay with flat grounds ( EU bird sanctuary )".

Salt chickweed and beach news, among other things, grow in the flushing area . On the primary dunes above the rinsing edge , grasses such as beach grass , beach rye , rushes and sand sedge grow . Above this border there are real bedstraw and red fescue as well as various mosses. Sloe , hawthorn and dog rose mark the transition to the forest areas. English oak and sycamore maple , sand birch , red beech and crab apple grow there . The sea ​​eagle can occasionally be seen in the area. In addition, here come Goosander , Doves , Chiffchaff , Firecrest and Baumpieper ago.

Entering the area is not permitted. Parts of the area can be seen from the beach in Eckernförde Bay . The area is looked after by the Schleswig-Holstein State Hunting Association . The designated use of the Grönwohld Hegel teaching area by the Schleswig-Holstein State Hunting Association and the proper pursuit of hunting and fighting muskrat are permitted in the state ordinance according to §4.
