District Office Kandern
The District Office Kandern (officially District Office Candern ) was a short-lived state administrative district in the state of Baden , which existed from April 23, 1810 to December 11, 1819.
history
Kandern was already the central location of an administrative unit during the time of the margraviate of Hachberg-Sausenberg , Sausenharder Viertel of the Landgraviate of Sausenberg.
When it was decided in 1809 to dissolve the Oberamt Rötteln , its communities were assigned to the newly formed district offices of Lörrach, Kandern and Schopfheim. The new district office was assigned to the Wiesenkreis and after its dissolution in 1815 came to the Dreisamkreis.
The first and only district officer was Wilhelm Deurer , who was initially appointed as a bailiff in the Neckarbischofsheim district after the Kandern district office was dissolved and worked as a senior bailiff in the Lörrach district office from 1822 to 1831 .
The district office of Kandern was dissolved in 1819 and the communities of Endenburg , Kirchhausen and Schlächtenhaus were assigned to the district office of Schopfheim . The majority of the municipalities were divided between the districts of Müllheim and Lörrach.
