Wilhelm Deurer

Wilhelm Deurer (born October 31, 1780 in Mannheim , † December 20, 1858 in Heidelberg ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer.

Life

After completing his studies, Deurer entered the civil service as a legal candidate in 1805. In 1807 he was clerk in the Neckarschwarzach district office. From 1810 to 1819 he was the first and only district officer of the short-lived district office of Kandern . After the dissolution of the Kandern district office, he was initially employed as a bailiff in the Neckarbischofsheim district until he was appointed senior bailiff in the Lörrach district in 1822 . He held this office until 1836. In 1831 he was appointed Privy Councilor 3rd Class and in 1832 he received the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Zähringer Lion . In 1836 he became city director of Heidelberg , where he worked until his retirement in 1844.
