Ludwig Gaddum

Karl Ludwig Wilhelm Gaddum (born January 23, 1843 in Neckargemünd , † June 12, 1910 in Konstanz ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer.

Life

Gaddum embarked on the career of actuary in 1859 and began and then studied law in Heidelberg from 1866 to 1869 . After subordinate positions in Pforzheim and Konstanz, he was appointed bailiff in Konstanz in 1873. Three years later he became the head of the Bonndorf district office . In 1878 he was appointed head of the office and senior bailiff in Ettenheim . Further stations were the district offices in Oberkirch (1883), Sinsheim (1890). There he was promoted to the secret government council in 1896 and in 1896 he took over the district office of Lörrach . In 1902 he was appointed chairman of the arbitration tribunal for workers' insurance in Constance and in 1909 he was retired for health reasons.

Honors

In 1887 he received the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the Zähringer Löwen and in 1899 the Knight's Cross 1st Class with Oak Leaves of this order. In 1902 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Berthold the First .
