Heinrich Belzer

Heinrich Belzer (born August 16, 1861 in Baden-Baden , † January 30, 1927 in Konstanz ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer.

Life

Belzer was a son of the building contractor and member of the second chamber of the Baden association of estates, Bernhard Belzer . The Reichstag delegate Emil Belzer was a brother, the Baden District Administrator Rudolf Belzer (1901-1976) was a son of Heinrich Belzer.

After attending school in Baden-Baden, Belzer studied law at the universities of Heidelberg, Munich and Berlin and passed the 2nd state law examination in 1888. After a legal traineeship and a job with the high school board, he became an official in Karlsruhe in 1892. In 1895 he moved to Meßkirch , where he became the head of the office and senior bailiff the following year. From 1899 to 1906 he worked in this position at the Kehl district office. In 1906 he was promoted to the secret government council and took over the district office of Lörrach, which he led until 1911. Until his retirement in 1924, he headed the Konstanz district office and was also temporarily employed as a state commissioner in Konstanz during the First World War .

Honors

In 1902 he received the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the Zähringer Löwen and in 1913 the one with oak leaves. In 1912 he was awarded the Prussian Red Eagle Order 3rd Class and in 1917 the Prussian Cross of Merit for War Aid.
