Hugo Dörle (born December 29, 1859 in Neuhausen ; † May 30, 1926 in Baden-Baden ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer.

Life

After attending school and high school in Baden-Baden, Dörle studied law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg from 1879 to 1883 . From 1884 to 1886 he worked as a trainee at various local courts, as well as the regional courts in Offenburg and Karlsruhe . He then worked in a subordinate position at various Baden district offices until 1889 and, in 1890/91, as a secretary at the administrative court in Karlsruhe. From 1891 to 1894 he worked at the Rastatt district office as a bailiff and changed to this position at the beginning of 1894 at the Pfullendorf district office. In the same year he was appointed head of the office and senior bailiff. From 1899 to 1904 he then took on this task in the Engen district office and from 1904 to 1911 in the Mosbach district office . Finally, in 1911, he became a senior official in the district office of Lörrach . In March 1919 riots broke out in Loerrach due to problems in the food supply, during which the People's Council and the Unemployment Commission complained that the authorities were not vigorously combating “usury and corruption, smugglers and war profiteers”. In June 1919, in view of the “excited mood” among the workers, Dörle was declared disabled for health reasons. Shortly thereafter, Dörle asked not to be used in the district administration. Leopold Gräser became his successor in Loerrach.

In 1919, Dörle became a collegiate member of the Baden Administrative Court in Karlsruhe and in this function was promoted to the Upper Government Council in 1921. On March 1, 1924, he was put into temporary retirement due to the staff reduction ordinance, and into permanent retirement at the end of the year.

Honors

In 1902 he received the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the Zähringer Lion and in 1912 the one with oak leaves. Also in 1902 he received the Baden Jubilee Medal . In 1909 he was awarded the Prussian Order of the Crown, 3rd Class, and in 1917 the Prussian Cross of Merit for War Aid.
