Friedrich von Preen

Friedrich Adolf Philipp Karl von Preen (born June 15, 1823 in Karlsruhe ; † May 5, 1894 there ; Protestant) was a lawyer and district chief who had been in the Baden state service since 1850 , comparable to a current district president .

family

Friedrich Freiherr von Preen was the son of Lieutenant Colonel Johann Friedrich Freiherr von Preen from the Baden line of the noble family von Preen and the Karoline née Fesenbeck. His first marriage was in 1851, Klara nee Giulini († 1852 in Mannheim ), daughter of the manufacturer Paul Giulini in Mannheim. Since December 16, 1861, he was married to Elisabeth, born Freiin von Reischach (born August 6, 1839 in Karlsruhe). The son Paul (born July 10, 1852 in Mannheim), later court squire and bailiff, comes from his first marriage . There are three children from the second marriage: Karl Wolfgang (born February 3, 1863 in Lörrach ), later court squire and high school council secretary, Fanny Elisabeth (born November 23, 1865 in Lörrach), later lady-in-waiting , and Johann Alfred (born November 13, 1871 in Bruchsal ), later second lieutenant in the 1st Baden Field Artillery Regiment No. 14 .

education

After graduating from the Lyzeum Mannheim in 1841 , Friedrich von Preen studied law at the University of Heidelberg from the summer semester of 1841 , interrupted by a winter semester at the University of Berlin 1842/43. In 1844 he completed his studies at Heidelberg University and became a legal intern on June 14, 1845. On July 2, 1846, he became an actuary at the Weinheim district office and then, from December 1, 1846, a trainee in the criminal investigation department of the Mannheim City Office . From October 1, 1847, he was a trainee at the lawyer Küchler in Heidelberg.
