Karl Haussner

Karl Josef Häußner (born November 30, 1882 in Bruchsal , † December 29, 1955 in Karlsruhe ) was an administrative officer in Baden.

Life

After attending grammar schools in Karlsruhe, Tauberbischofsheim and Baden-Baden , he began to study law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg in 1901 , where he obtained his doctorate in 1906 after attending other universities. He was a member of the Rupertia Association . In 1909 he passed the 2nd state law examination and entered the service of the Baden Ministry of the Interior. From 1915 to 1918 he was employed in the civil administration of the General Government of Belgium and in 1917 received the rank of government councilor. In 1919 he was employed at the Freiburg District Office and worked part-time as a lawyer at the University of Freiburg. In April 1921 he moved to Karlsruhe as a councilor, where he first worked in the district office and shortly afterwards in the Ministry of the Interior, and in mid-August 1921 he began his service in the Reich Ministry of Labor . In February 1924, Häussner moved to the Oberversicherungsamt in Karlsruhe. From 1929 to 1932, Häußner was a member of the DVP . From 1932 to 1934 he was district administrator in Lörrach . After further tasks as director of the Oberversicherungsamt Konstanz (1934–1936) and senior administrative judge at the Baden Administrative Court, he was appointed to the Baden Ministry of the Interior from 1939. In 1941 he joined the NSDAP . The US military government ordered his dismissal in June 1945, but he continued to work as a salaried employee and was revoked again in 1949 and for life shortly before his retirement in 1950.
