Georg Josef Seybel

Georg Josef Seybel (born September 10, 1825 in Nordrach ; † March 15, 1886 in Karlsruhe ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer.

Life

Seybel first studied camera science at the University of Freiburg and then law in Heidelberg . In 1848 he entered the Baden civil service as a legal candidate . After internships in Offenburg and Emmendingen and assignments at the Freiburg Court Court, as well as various district offices, he became a bailiff in the Pforzheim Oberamt in 1860 . From 1863 to 1872 he then worked as an official director in the district office of Schopfheim and then for another 10 years as director of the district office in Lörrach . In 1883 he became a member of the Administrative Court in Karlsruhe with the title of Government Councilor, where in 1886 - shortly before he died of pneumonia - he became Chairman of the Council.

In 1877 he was elected in the electoral district 11 (electoral district of the Schopfheim office with parts of the Säckingen and Schönau offices) for the National Liberal Party as a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly. He took up the mandate on November 15, 1877 and held it for two electoral terms until March 18, 1880.

In 1874 he was awarded the Prussian Order of the Crown, 4th class . In 1877 he received the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the Zähringer Löwen .
