The Bischofswiese is a nature reserve in the city of Halle (Saale) in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0117 is 52.04  hectares in size. The nature reserve, initially around 49 hectares in size, was expanded in 1983 by 2.95 hectares to its present size. The reserve is part of the FFH area "Dölauer Heath and Lindbusch at Heide" and completely from the landscape conservation area surrounded "Dölauer Heide". The area has been under protection since May 1, 1961 (date of regulation: March 30, 1961). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the city of Halle (Saale).

The nature reserve is located in the West district of the city of Halle (Saale) in the Lower Saale Valley Nature Park . It protects a high plateau, mostly planted with deciduous forests, as well as the adjoining slope areas of a cold-period ground moraine in the area of ​​the Dölauer Heide . The forests in the nature reserve are mainly formed by near-natural oak-hornbeam forests , some of which are over 200 years old, with winter linden trees , which merge into cinquefoil oak forests at the edges of the plateau exposed to the sun. Scots pines grow on light south-facing slopes with open grass fields . Warm hems are u. a. Formed from white cinquefoil , diptame , turkish lily , fiery notch , cassube vetch and swallow root. However, the border areas are in decline. In addition, numerous other plants have been identified.

The forests in the protected area are habitats of long-eared owl , tawny owl , green , black , medium and Lesser Spotted Woodpecker , Wryneck , oriole , Grosbeak and wood warbler . In the area of ​​the nature reserve there is an important prehistoric archaeological site with Neolithic fortifications and some barrows . An erratic block of Upper Halleschen Porphyry in the center of the Bischofswiese is geologically significant . Part of the nature trail runs through the nature reserve through the Dölauer Heide.
