Blahutowicze was first mentioned in a document in 1499, when Wilhelm von Pernstein acquired the Weisskirch rule from the Hradisko monastery . In 1547 his son Johann sold the manor with all its accessories, including Blahautowice , to Wenzel Haugwitz von Biskupitz . In the centuries that followed, the village always remained part of the rule of Hranice and Weißkirch, which has remained in the possession of the Princes of Dietrichstein without interruption since 1622 . Until the Thirty Years War the village was Moravian-speaking ; after that it became German and the place name changed to Blattendorf . The oldest town seal from 1766 shows three birds hovering over two houses and fields. The outlying Blattendorfer Meierhof was abolished in 1776 and the village of Grafendorf was founded in its place . In 1795 the community built a school at its own expense.

In 1835 the village of Blattendorf or Blahutovice in the Prerau district consisted of 51 houses in which 346 people lived. The main source of income was agriculture. There was a school in the village. Two grinding mills were operated on the two streams, and a windmill stood on the hill above the village. The parish was Teutsch-Jaßnik . Until the middle of the 19th century, Blattendorf remained subordinate to the Fideikommissherrschaft Weißkirch.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed leaf village / Blahutice 1849 a municipality in the judicial district Neutitschein . From 1869 Blattendorf belonged to the Neutitschein district. At that time the village had 401 inhabitants and consisted of 57 houses. A new schoolhouse was built in 1872 and expanded in 1909. In 1900 there were 401 people living in Blattendorf / Blahutovice, compared to 430 in 1910.

In 1930 Blattendorf consisted of 62 houses and had 447 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement , the German-speaking village was added to the German Reich in 1938. In 1939, Blattendorf had 407 inhabitants. Until 1945 Blattendorf belonged to the district of Neu Titschein . After the end of the Second World War, the village came back to Czechoslovakia , and most of the German-speaking residents were expelled in 1946 . In 1950 there were 324 people in Blahutovice. In 1976 it was incorporated into Jeseník nad Odrou . In the 2001 census, there were 164 people in Blahutovice's 59 houses. As of January 1, 2014, the village had 183 inhabitants.

Blahutovice nuclear power plant

In the 1970s, Blahutovice was selected as a possible location for the construction of a nuclear power plant . This plan was initially dropped after 1989. However, in 2009, despite public protests, the place was named as a possible location for a helium-cooled fast breeder (project Allegro). Blahutovice was therefore closed for a long time in the land's zoning plan. The construction of the third Czech NPP is planned for at least 2035 after the retrofitting of the Temelín and Dukovany NPPs .
