history

Poluwsy was first mentioned in a document in 1412, when the owner of the Titschein castle lordship , Latzek (I.) von Krawarn , sold the village together with Dub to Heinrich von Riesenburg . He had his wife Elisabeth prescribe a morning gift of 50 marks for both villages . The following owners were Johann von Riesenburg and his daughter Katharina. After her death, the Polouvsí estate was transferred to the widower Johann von Zop in the land table in 1493 . In 1502 Wilhelm von Pernstein bought the fortress and the Poluswy farm with all its accessories and gave them to his dominion in Weißkirch . In the centuries that followed, the village always remained part of the rule of Hranice and Weißkirch, which has remained in the possession of the Princes of Dietrichstein without interruption since 1622 . Until the end of the 16th century the village was Moravian-speaking ; after that it became German and the place name changed to Halbendorf . The oldest place seal dates from 1766; it shows a deciduous tree and on either side a house with a door and two windows.

In 1835 the village of Halbendorf or Poluwsý in the Prerau district consisted of 38 houses in which 260 people lived. The main source of income was agriculture. In the village there was a farm , a school and an vomiting shop . The Neudecker Bach drove an emphyteutized two-speed mill. The parish was Teutsch-Jaßnik . Halfendorf remained subject to the Fideikommissherrschaft Weißkirch until the middle of the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial , Halbendorf / Polouves formed a community in the judicial district of Neutitschein from 1849 . From 1869, Halbendorf belonged to the Neutitschein district. At that time the village had 391 inhabitants and consisted of 62 houses. In 1900 there were 317 people in Halbendorf / Poloves , in 1910 there were 339. The voluntary fire brigade was founded in 1906. The Czech place name was changed to Polouvsí in 1924 . In 1930 Halbendorf consisted of 65 houses and had 312 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement , the German-speaking village was added to the German Reich in 1938. In 1939 Halbendorf had 350 inhabitants. Until 1945, Halbendorf belonged to the Neu Titschein district . After the end of the Second World War, the village came back to Czechoslovakia , and the German-speaking residents were expelled in 1946 . In 1950 there were 306 people in Polouvsí. In 1975 it was incorporated into Jeseník nad Odrou . At the 2001 census, 199 people lived in the 64 houses of Polouvsí. As of January 1, 2014, the village had 220 inhabitants.
