The Bosnian-Herzegovinian football championship 1997/98 was the fourth season of the highest Bosnian-Herzegovinian league in men's football . It started in September 1997 and ended on June 5, 1998.

In the championship, the Bosniak and Bosnian / Croatian teams took part in two separate leagues. Clubs from the Republika Srpska did not take part because they did not agree with the regulations set by UEFA .

Master was FK Željezničar Sarajevo .

mode

The 16 teams initially competed against each other twice on a total of 30 match days. Each team played once at home and once away against each of the fifteen other teams. The four best teams then played in the play-offs with the two best clubs in the Bosnian / Croatian league for the championship title. The last three clubs were relegated.
