Brückner & Brückner Architects is a German architecture office in Tirschenreuth and Würzburg .
history
The family company was founded in 1972 in Tirschenreuth by civil engineer Klaus-Peter Brückner (1939–2011) as the Brückner engineering office . After his son Peter Brückner (* 1962) joined the company after studying architecture, the company was renamed the architecture and engineering office Brückner & Brückner Architekten . After completing his architecture studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart , the second son Christian Brückner (* 1971) also joined the company in 1996 .
Since the death of their father, the sons have been working together under the current name Brückner & Brückner Architects.
Excellent projects
The office received its first award in 1998 with the award "Das Goldene Haus '98" from the Landesbausparkasse for a residential building in Tirschenreuth.
Kulturspeicher in Würzburg
The design work for the conversion of the fallow storage building into a culture storage facility in Würzburg was awarded. In 2004 Brückner & Brückner took part in the International Architecture Biennale in Venice with their work in the German pavilion “Deutschlandschaft - Epicentren der Peripherie” .
