Brigitte Kraemer

Brigitte Kraemer (born January 9, 1954 in Hamm ) is a German photo artist .

life and work

From 1971 to 1973 Kraemer completed an apprenticeship as an assistant in business and tax consultancy professions, which was followed by a job as a tax assistant until 1975. From 1975 to 1976 she studied first at the technical college for design in Münster, from 1976 to 1982 at the University of Essen, Folkwang school for design, the field of study visual communication . In 1982 she graduated as a designer in the layout course with Willy Fleckhaus and Hans Nienheysen, and in the photography course with Angela Neuke.

From 1983 to 1991 she was a partner in the Antrazit photography agency . Since 1995 she has been a member of the German Society for Photography . In 1997 and 1998 she was teaching at the University of Essen .

She has been living and working as a freelance photographer in Herne since 1982. She is the wife of the painter Jürgen Grislawski .

A photo series can be found as a permanent exhibition in the Ruhr Museum on the former Zeche Zollverein , Essen.
