Britt Bongaerts (born November 3, 1996 in Roermond ) is a Dutch volleyball player . The player played for several clubs in the German Bundesliga. With Schwerin she won the cup and was runner-up.

Career

Bongaerts played for the Volleyball Association Peelpush Meijel and for the Papendal Arnhem talent team . From there she moved to TV Twente Eurosped Almelo in 2014 . At the end of the year, the player, who went through all national teams from U14, was awarded the talent award named after Ingrid Visser as the best young player in her country. She played with the senior national team at the 2015 Volleyball World Grand Prix .

Then Bongaerts was signed by the German Bundesliga club Ladies in Black Aachen . In the Bundesliga season 2015/16 occupied Aachen tenth place and was eliminated in the pre-playoff out. In the DVV-Pokal 2015/16 , however, the team reached the semi-finals against Dresdner SC . In view of the financial problems in Aachen, Bongaerts moved to league competitor USC Münster in 2016 . With the club she made it to the quarter-finals in the Bundesliga playoffs and in the DVV Cup . Then she returned to Aachen. With the ladies she made it to the playoff semi-finals .

In 2018 she moved to the German champions SSC Palmberg Schwerin . In the 2018/19 season Schwerin won the cup final against Stuttgart, while the playoff final was lost to the same opponent. In the 2019/20 DVV Cup , Bongaerts made it to the semi-finals with the club. When the Bundesliga season was canceled shortly before the playoffs, Schwerin was in first place in the table.
