Buchhof is a district of the market Schopfloch in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).
geography
The hamlet is on the left bank of the Wörnitz and forms a closed settlement with the Schopfloch to the east. The place is otherwise surrounded by arable land and grassland. The district road AN 42 leads past Zwernberg to Weidelbach (3.3 km to the west) or to Schopfloch (0.9 km to the northeast).
history
The mill was first mentioned in a document as early as 1282 as "molendinum apud fluvium Wernzza iuxta Schoppheloch". The name "Buchmühle" did not appear until 1386.
Buchhof was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . The Oettingen-Spielberg Oberamt Dürrwangen also claimed the Fraisch. In 1732 there were 2 properties (1 courtyard, 1 grinding mill). Landlord was the Oberamt Dürrwangen. There were also two properties towards the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .
As a result of the municipal edict, Buchhof was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Schopfloch in 1809 .
