The Bundestag constituency Bergedorf was a constituency in Hamburg for the elections to the German Bundestag . Most recently it comprised the Bergedorf district , the Billstedt local authority area from the Hamburg-Mitte district and the districts of Marienthal , Jenfeld and Tonndorf belonging to the Wandsbek district .

The constituency of Hamburg-Bergedorf was number 4 of the Hamburg constituencies in the 1949 federal election, then had the nationwide constituency number 20, for the elections from 1965 to 1976 it was number 18 and finally for the elections from 1980 to 1998 it was constituency number 17. In the elections from 1949 to In 1961 the constituency was called Hamburg VI and in the elections from 1965 to 1976 Bergedorf .

For the federal elections from 1949 to 1961, the area of ​​the constituency consisted of the Bergedorf district and the Eilbek district from the Wandsbek district, the Hohenfelde district from the Hamburg-Nord district and the St. Georg , Klostertor and Hammerbrook districts belonging to the Hamburg-Mitte district , Borgfelde , Hamm , Horn , Billstedt , Billbrook and Rothenburgsort .

When the constituencies were reorganized before the 1965 federal election, the Bergedorf constituency was formed from the Bergedorf district, the Marienthal, Jenfeld and Tonndorf districts from the Wandsbek district and the Horn, Billstedt and Billbrook districts from the Hamburg-Mitte district. The constituency existed in this form until it was combined with the Hamburg-Harburg constituency to form the new Hamburg-Bergedorf -Harburg constituency before the 2002 federal elections .
