Amtenhausen Castle

The Castle Office Hausen , also castle rooms called, is a hilltop castle site (rampart) of 830  m above sea level. NN on a steep slope near the former Amtenhausen monastery , about 2250 meters northwest of the district ofzimmer of the municipality of Immendingen in the Tuttlingen district in Baden-Württemberg .

The ramparts, probably built between the 8th and 11th centuries, above a steep slope on a mountain slope, were probably not related to the Amtenhausen monastery founded in 1107 or its predecessor settlement. The rampart consists of an approximately 75 m long section rampart and a ditch in front of it, as well as an approximately 70 m long, terraced slope following the lower wall end, including an artificial embankment within the area.
