description

The castle was built in the first half of the 12th century divided into a lower lower castle, probably as a bailey served, and an upper castle on a narrow ridge of the castle rock. In the area of the upper castle, the core area of the complex, there was presumably a residential tower-like structure. Today the former castle complex still shows seven meters long and two to three meters high wall remains of the lower castle with small ashlar masonry. The city of Fridingen is named as the former owner.
