The Upper Castle Wartenberg , including Alt-Wartenberg and Upper Castle called, is an Outbound hillside castle on 810  m above sea level. NHN on the slope a little to the west and below the summit of the Wartenberg in the municipality of the city of Geisingen in the Tuttlingen district ( Baden-Württemberg ).

The castle was built by the Lords of Wartenberg around 1138 and mentioned in 1299. The Lords of Fürstenberg are named as other owners . In 1459 the castle complex was rebuilt and expanded. The castle was destroyed in the Peasants' War and demolished in 1780. Remains of the residential tower are still preserved from the former castle complex . The keep had a base area of ​​13.4 by 21.8 meters.
