The Postal vinegar jug is an Outbound medieval Spur castle on the "jug of vinegar" 50 meters above the Tauber Valley just south of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the district of Ansbach in Bavaria .

Presumably the castle was the predecessor of the Staufer Reichsburg Rothenburg , which was founded by the Counts of Comburg- Rothenburg . No remains of the former castle complex have survived.
