Burgstall Forndorf

The Burgstall Forndorf is an abandoned medieval castle and later castle about 125 to 225 m northeast of the intersection in Forndorf , a current district of the Wieseth community in the Ansbach district in Bavaria .

history

The castle, mentioned in 1351, was the residence of the "noble lords of Wisent" until 1364. The castle burned down in 1565, and all documents about Wieseth were destroyed. In 1590, Margrave Georg Friedrich built a castle on the site , nothing of which has survived today.
