The castle Auerbach is an Outbound medieval castle just east of the church in Auerbach (house no. 14), a modern district of the market town Colmberg in Ansbach in Bavaria .
Of the castle built by the local lords of Esel, only the tithe barn (courtyard building) built by David von Jaxtheim in 1583 remained , which was given its present form in the 17th century. An inscription stone "built 1583" in the courtyard wall reminds of this. From 1610 to 1734 the property was in the hands of the Barons von Eyb .
