The Cadre 47/1 World Championship in 1982 was the sixth Cadre 47/1 UMB World Championship, which was held in Cadre 45/1 until 1938. The tournament took place from April 24th to May 2nd, 1982 in Duisburg in the Ruhr area. It was the second Cadre 47/1 World Championship in Germany.

history

Thomas Wildförster could still dream of the title until the fifth round . He was the only player to win all of his games. Then he lost to Jean Arnouts and Francis Connesson . Arnouts had defeated Connesson in the second round and had only a chance to win before the last round if Wildförster beats Connesson, which did not happen. Connesson won with 300: 157 in six shots and set a new world record in the general average (GD) with 51.81 . The second German participant, Klaus Hose , defeated Arnouts in the fourth round and finished in a good fourth place. Arnouts played a draw in the first round against Fonsy Grethen , with the Luxembourger equalizing in the follow-up with a 117 series, deserved second.

Tournament mode

A final round in the round robin system up to 300 points was played. In the event of a tie in the MPs, the following order is taken:

  1. MP = match points
  2. GD = general average
  3. HS = maximum series
