Christian Voigt (singer)

Christian Voigt (born August 27, 1969 in Berlin ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Voigt began his vocal studies in his hometown at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin with Heinz Reeh and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and completed masterclasses with Peter Schreier , Josef Protschka , Kurt Equiluz , Wolfram Rieger and as a scholarship holder of the " Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes " René Kollo . He received his first engagement as a lyric tenor at the Theater Vorpommern Stralsund / Greifswald .

Engagements have taken him to several European countries such as Austria , Switzerland , Italy , France , Belgium , the Netherlands , Denmark , Poland , Estonia and Hungary , where he worked under important conductors such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt , Helmuth Rilling , Philippe Herreweghe , Gerd Albrecht and Dietfried Bernet , Will Humburg and Michael Schønwandt and sang with well-known orchestras such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe , La Chapelle Royale / Orchester des Champs-Elysees , the Staatskapelle Berlin , the Bach-Collegium Stuttgart and the Danish Radio Orchestra .

He is often a guest at the Styriarte music festival in Graz , the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , the Bad Hersfeld Opera Festival , the Wiener Festwochen , the Dresden Music Festival , the Schwetzinger Festival and the Schubertiade Feldkirch .
